Curiosity got me
A nice experience! The tranquil beaches, really good service, and mouthwatering food left me yearning for more. Activities like snorkeling and jet skiing were fantastic. Special thanks to the attentive staff, especially Chef Wasantha, who catered brilliantly to dietary preferences. If paradise exists, it certainly resides here!

The snorkeling off the water villa was amazing. The food pricing feels a bit steep for what you get. Enjoyed movie nights by the beach.

Staying at Velassaru was fantastic. The outdoor shower in our Water Villa added a unique touch to our experience. Snorkeling right off our deck was a dream, with vibrant marine life all around. The staff were genuinely great. The lush tropical gardens and white sandy paths were beautiful and peaceful. Dining at the Vela was a treat, but the food could use more variety, especially in the dinner menus. Our villa's lighting was a bit dim, and I felt a little anxious about the open bathroom at night. While the overall vibe and service were great, I wished there were more shaded areas for lounging and hanging out. Despite a few minor issues, the stay was positive overall.

Perfection on Earth!
As with any resort! Price of travel from airport to Island, cost of food and drink! And a over 13% sales tax on everything was exsesive. BUT, it was worth it!:)

The beach villa with pool offered fine views and a blissful atmosphere. The staff were really good, always attentive, and the daily floating breakfast was a highlight. Although the main restaurant had limited dinner options, the Japanese and Chill Bar provided good alternatives. Free ice cream around the resort is a fun touch, but I expected complimentary soft ice cream by the pool as well.

Highly recommended for a honeymoon trip. Really enjoyed Velassaru, the hotel was excellent close enough to get easily to the island. Unbelievable remote location close to complimentary activities like snorkeling, 3 kids in Feb 2019, and the restaurant that serves buffet for lunches and dinners. There was a beach restaurant nearby. The personnel were super and outstanding.
Facilities were modern, even so Wi-Fi was a bit slow.
